Combine RCT Study
The Combine RCT Study is sponsored by the National Institutes of Mental Health and aims to increase HIV testing and PrEP uptake among rural gay and bisexual men who have sex with men (GBMSM). The objectives of Combine are to determine if the app we've designed is effective at increasing HIV/STI testing and starting PrEP among rural GBMSM, and to understand whether providing free testing kits and motivational interviews influence increased testing and/or PrEP initiation. Combine RCT plans to recruit 464 men over an 18 months period, with participants continuing through the study for a 24-month period. Recruitment began in March 2024.
